“My work focuses on society's relations with emotional façades and questions the implications a disguised self has on our day to day life. I explore what feelings, afflictions or identities we keep hidden and what we disclose. Also investigating how this concealment impacts our relationships and if it is learned or inherited. I attempt to pick out these instances of masking and unmasking in my life and research topics on behavioral sciences and epigenetics to expand my perspective. By using symbolic imagery paired with the figure, I portray a sense of my own and others concealment, a vignette of a disguised self.”
