A series of drawings that started during the pandemic in 2020. During which time it became difficult to have physical interactions with people because of the quarantine. The portraits were drawn in response to the loneliness I was feeling. Every drawing that I did was a way for me to share my feelings, thoughts and emotions with someone. The title comes from the Chicano art representation of a “payaso” which is Spanish for clown. The clowns were a representation of the good times and bad times in our life.

As a Chicano myself my art revolves around the culture. My images hold a lot of our history and my personal experiences growing up in today's society.
